knit wit

my lovely friend, college roommate, and beautiful bridesmaid, amber, is turning the big 3-0 this month. seeing that she is officially an old lady now, i decided it was appropriate to knit her a scarf. old ladies tend to get chilled easily. i should know, i'm 31.


amber lives in las vegas so i chose a lighter weight yarn, 50% yak and 50% merino wool, so she wouldn't sweat her ass off. um, the yarn is to die for. seriously. it feels like cashmere. i went with a moss stitch, which i knitted loosely to allow for air circulation. again, done to prevent overheating in a place where scarves really aren't necessary. hmmm, kinda want to keep the scarf for myself... but i won't. she's too dear of a friend.
